who are we?
Our Story
Changing the Future Collective was founded by Mykah Owens-Jeffries and Humeta Embry with a shared vision to create real opportunities for young people through mentorship, civic engagement, and leadership development.
Through their work in community organizing, they saw how many young people had the passion to succeed but lacked access to guidance and meaningful experiences. The Collective was created to bridge that gap and support youth ages 16–28 in building confident, community-minded futures, and where hope meets opportunity..
